Our most-run road, set to fixed dates: Sangti Valley, Sela Pass, Tawang and the Bumla trijunction in six days. Eight batches between October and May, and it only gets better the more of you there are.

We do not sell the whole of India. We work the corner of it we grew up in — which is why we can tell you which pass is shut this week and which homestay is worth the detour.

The largest state in the North-East and the least travelled. Roads climb from riverbed to 4,600 m in a day, and several valleys sit within sight of the McMahon Line. Every route here needs a permit and a driver who has done it before.

Travel with a dozen strangers. Come back with a dozen friends.

Fixed departures run on published dates through the season, on the same routes we build privately. You get the price of a shared vehicle and the company of people who chose the same road.

  • A guide above seven

    Groups larger than seven travel with a dedicated guide, not just a driver. On the smaller departures the founder often leads it himself.

  • Permits before you fly

    Inner Line Permits and restricted-area clearances for Bumla, Walong and Kibithu are arranged by us in advance.

  • Paced for altitude

    Routes that cross 4,000 m are built with a night at middle elevation first. Nobody is driven from the plains to Sela in one push.

  • Early-bird pricing

    Booking more than thirty days ahead of departure carries a lower rate, on triple and double sharing alike.

Roots since 2022

Camp Ela

Camp Ela is our official camping venture, first operating in 2022 under the banner Plug Pine. We’ve hosted campers at two of Northeast India’s most iconic festivals — the Ziro Festival of Music and the Hornbill Festival — with successful campsite operations in 2022, 2023 and 2024.

ZFM 2026 marks Camp Ela’s second official edition. More than a place to stay, it’s built around community — bonfire stories, late-night jamming, and connections that last long after the festival ends.

When to go

The honest calendar

Most operators will sell you any month you ask for. Kaziranga shuts for the monsoon, Sela closes under snow, and the Siang road slides. Here is the year as it actually runs.
